Tutting

December 22nd 2006 12:32
Tutting is a style of dance that consists of making geometric positions and movements. Its style mostly deals with 90 degree angles.

Tutting is said to have originated from the Egyptian culture because the dance mimics the way an Egyptian would walk and move.

This style of dancing is linked very closely with popping. For instance, many poppers tend to incoporate tutting to enhance their moves.

The aim to tutting correctly, is to create solid shapes with your hands and arms with the correct geometric measurements. It sounds very difficult and quite technical, however once you succeed there is no turning back. Check out this clip. It's a general idea of what tutting should look like.
