25 year old, Beyonce Giselle Knowles is an American RnB singer,
actress, model, dancer and fashion designer. This girl can do it all!
Not only can she do it all, but the fact that she has become successful
in each field, shows that she has talent.
She is of African American decent and she was named after her
maternal grandmother's surname. It's quite unusual to be named after
a surname. Thank God, the surnamewasn't Smith or Carter or something
like that. At the age of seven, Beyonce was attending dance school,
and she was also part of the church choir. She had one over 30 local
singing and dancing competitions.
Her solo career started in 2002, when she featured in Jay Z's hit single
'03 Bonnie & Clyde'. In 2003, Beyonce released her solo album,
'Dangerously In Love' which featured her hit single, 'Crazy In Love'.
It became one of the biggest hits of that summer, staying at number
1 for eight weeks on the Billboard 100. In the same year she worked
with Sean Paul for her single, 'Baby Boy' and now in 2006, her latest
singles include 'Deja Vu', 'Ring The Alarm' and 'Irreplaceable'.
She has starred in movies such as Austin Powers, The Fighting
Temptations, Fade To Black, The Pink Panther, and Dream Girls.
Dream Girls is yet to be released and Beyonce starrs alongside
Eddie Murphey and Jamie Foxx.
She rose to stardom as the lead singer of Destiney's Child.
This group is the only group that I can think of that have remained
mutual friends, despite the fact that Beyonce went solo and became
successful. According to a documentary I saw on Destiney's Child,
the three girls seem truly and honestly happy for each other. It is very
hard to go solo, and then later rejoin the group making it even more
successful than before.
