Sari Abboud aka Massari is a 26 year old hip-hop singer who was born in Beirut, Lebanon but grew up in Canada. He first moved to Montreal when he was ten and then moved to Ottawa when he turned thirteen. He currenlty still resides in Ottawa.
In 2005, Massari released a self-titled album which sold out in the U.S in two days. He released the song 'Smile for Me' which won two video awards; best independent, and best rap video. His second single was 'Be Easy' which peaked at number four on Canada's music chart.
Massari's music is combined with arabic lyrics and music which defines Massari and his music as one of a kind. Many artists have tried to create the same type of upbeat and positive tune, however they have failed to succeed. Massari truly shows his authenticity.
Massari can speak English, French and Arabic fluenlty, he is the oldest of three boys and he is of the Muslim faith. And for all the people who wondered where Massari got the name, MASSARI ; It means money in Lebanese. You would never imagine that such a built man who's face seems so serious and gangster-like would have the soft voice that he has. It's great!
