Omari Ishmael Grandberry or better known as Omarion, is a 22 year old singer, actor and dancer. He started his music career when the other 3 members of B2K introduced him to Chris Stokes the CEO of TUG (The Ultimate Group). He was the last member to join B2K in 1999 and in 2004 the group split up.
In 2005, Omarion released his solo album entitled "O". 'O', 'I'm Tryna' and 'Touch' were the songs that were released from this album. In the U.S RnB/Hip Hop charts the single 'O' hit number 11, 'I'm Tryna hit 53 and 'Touch' hit 22. In the same year he also featured in Lil Bow Wow's single, 'Let Me Hold You' from his album "Wanted" which hit number 2 on the RnB/Hip Hop charts. On December 12, 2006 Omarion is set to release his next album "21" which features the single 'Entourage'.
Omarion was in London during the time of the London bombings. A media press release wasdistributed saying that Omarion wants all his fans to pray for his safe return home. However, he was not near any of the stations and nor did he travel on any of the underground stations during his stay. The press release shows how Omarion totally dismissed the fact that amongst the people praying for him, they should also pray for the families who have lost their loved ones. This created a big uproar amongst fans and many people believed that it was the media trying to cause trouble and that it was very unlikely that Omarion would say such a thing.
Omarion has starred in three movies so far. He played David in 'You Got Served', Reggie in 'Fat Albert' and the voice of Fifteen Cent in 'The Proud Family Movie'. His upcoming movies include 'Somebody Help Me', 'Reggaeton' and 'Street Solidier'.
Also, not many people know this, but Omarion and Marques Houston are half brothers. Omarion is older than Marques and he is also the older brother of RnB singer O'Ryan. J-Boog from B2K is also the cousin of Marques Houston and therefore related to Omarion. What a small world!!
