Cassandra Ventura aka Cassie is a 20 year old RnB singer and a former fashion model. She was born in New England, Connecticut and she is of African American, Native American and Filipino decent.
She currently has one album in stores entitled, 'CASSIE'. She is most famous for her song, 'Me & U', which hit number 1 on the U.S RnB charts and number 3 in the U.S Hot 100. Her latest song, 'Long Way To Go' is currently number 2 in the U.S Hot 100 chart.
Cassie became an artist unexpectedly and overnight. After being introduced to Ryan Leslie, a music producer, Cassie's mum thought it would be a great birthday gift for Cassie, if she could record a song. Ryan Leslie was very impressed with the way she sang, and soon after she was offered a contract. Despite this, before Cassie was a singer she was a model (as mentioned earlier).
