Beatboxing, which is also known as human orchestration, is the vocal percussion of hip hop culture and music. It consists of creating beats and rhythms with your mouth. An advanced beatboxer would also be able to create an imitation of turntable scratching, musical instruments, and other various sound effects.
Beatboxing is believed to have originated in China, during the Qing dynasty. It was then introduced to the West. The term beatboxing has come from the 'mimicry of the first generation of drum machines, then known as beatboxes.' (wikipedia)
There are four elements in beatboxing that appeared on Rahzel's CD 'Make The Music 2000'. The first element is Earth, which uses basic beatboxing techniques. The second is Wind, a complex and fast beat comprised with words in a very low voice. The third is Fire that is made up of sounds, which were not created by the human mouth, and the fourth is Water were the sounds are punchy and fast.
